1. Angels Falls in Venezuela is the highest free-falling fresh water fall in the world. The waterfall is situated in the Canaima national park and it is 979 meters high. Due to the great height of the falls, most of the water is buffeted by the wind and turned into mist. The falls drains into the Churun river at the base.


2. The Jewel Cave, which is a National Monument in Australia is the second longest cave on earth. The cave, which is 151.34 miles was formed by a gradual dissolution of limestone by stagnant acid water. The cave walls are covered by calcite crystals created by re-deposition of calcite carried by water. This cave contain calcite formations which include; flow stone, frost works, stalagmites and stalactites.


3. The Dead Sea is lowest body of water and is situated at the lowest point on earth. It is also the most natural depository of mineral salts and is also a spiritual landscape in the world of ancient herders. The Dead Sea is the leading source of natural salts on earth. The water of the Dead Sea contains over 35 minerals which are essential to the human body such as bromine, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iodine and many more. 4. Puerto Princesa Subterranean River in Philippines is the longest underground river in the world. This river, which is 8.2 kilometer long passes through a cave. The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999 to conserve the river, the forest surrounding it and the habitat.


5. The Congo basin in Africa is the deepest river on earth(230m) and the second largest after the Amazon. This river covers an area of 70,000 square miles in six countries which includes; Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Angola, Cameroon and Gabon. The Congo rainforest is also the second largest in the world and, a home to 400 different mammals, 1,000 bird species and more than 10,000 different types of plants. More than 24 million people depend on this forest for their livelihood.



6. The annual wildebeest migration between Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and the Masai Mara Game Reserve of Kenya is the most spectacular adventure every visitor will miss to see. This massive movement involve over 1.5 animals which include a large herd of wildebeest, zebra and antelope. During this period, it is a great advantage to the big cats such as the lion, leopard, cheetah and the hyena since catching their prey is very easy. 10. Vredefort Dome located in Johannesburg South Africa is the largest meteor impact sight on earth. Measuring 10 kilometers in diameter, the meteorite caused a thousand megaton blast of energy. It was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 2005.
